Ban of cruise vessels in Canadian waters until February 2022, triggers reaction from Alaska

Transport Canada extended its ban by continuing its order prohibiting cruise vessels in all Canadian waters until February 28, 2022. The orders, which were extended several times were announced by Minister of Transport Omar Alghabra.

An economics professor who saw himself more as a data-driven expert than an ideologue, Shultz had the rare distinction of serving in four different cabinet positions - including Treasury secretary with Richard Nixon.

IMF chief Georgieva tells Argentina, “it takes two to tango”

The chief of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva said on Friday that the fund is working towards reaching an agreement on a new loan deal with Argentina and the next round of meetings will focus on the details. Latin America's second economy grew 12% in third quarter but still 8,6%, below year to year

Falklands' “Restriction on Movement” declaration in full force until 18 February

The Falkland Islands Government Executive Council, ExCo, has agreed to the making and publication of a Declaration to bring into force regulations 11 (restrictions on movement) and 12 (restrictions on movement – specified areas) in order to ‘prevent, protect against, delay or otherwise control the incidence or transmission of coronavirus in the Falkland Islands.’ The regulations form part of the Infectious Diseases Control (Coronavirus) (No 2) Regulations.
