Argentine fisheries exports down 8,4% in 2022; exchange rate policy hindered sales overseas

Argentine fisheries exports dropped 8,4% last year, to US$ 1,804bn because of lower prices and a retraction in demand from the main markets, according to Capeca, the Chamber of fishing vessels' annual report. Not to mention the Argentine monetary policy with the great exchange rate gap between the official US dollar price and the free market.

Argentine FM thanks Chinese colleague for support regarding Malvinas

Argentine Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero Monday thanked his new Chinese colleague Qin Gang during a telephone conversation for the Asian Giant's support for the South American country's claim over the Malvinas/Falkland Islands. Qin Gang had become China's new Foreign Minister on Dec. 30, 2022. Both top diplomats concurred that a peaceful solution was needed for the South Atlantic dispute.

Federal Court of Appeals okays Mar del Plata offshore oil exploration
