    Euro-zone nations will hold an emergency summit on Tuesday to discuss the Greek referendum “No” result after the German and French leaders called for a meeting, EU president Donald Tusk said. The special meeting comes as Brussels reels with the implications of what the head of the Euro-group of finance ministers from the 19-country block, Jeroen Dijsselbloem, called a “very regrettable” decision.

    UNESCO's World Heritage Committee approved the inscription of four cultural sites on the World Heritage List: Fray Bentos Cultural-Industrial Landscape in Uruguay; Japan’s Meiji Industrial Revolution: Iron and Steel, Shipbuilding and Coal Mining in Japan, Ephesus in Turkey and Aqueduct of Padre Tembleque Hydraulic System in Mexico. The Committee also approved the extension of Spain’s Routes of Santiago de Compostela with the addition of the “Camino Francés and Routes of Northern Spain”.

    Argentine President Cristina Fernández will have a meeting with Pope Francis during the Pontiff’s visit to Paraguay, official sources have confirmed. The Argentine leader will travel to Asunción between July 11 and 13 for her sixth encounter with Francis, who will be ending his South American tour during those dates. The Pope will visit Ecuador, Bolivia and Paraguay, beginning Sunday.

    JBS buys UK's Moy Park for $1.5bn from rival Mafrig Global Foods

    Brazil’s JBS, the world’s largest meat packer, has agreed to pay about $1.5 billion for Moy Park, the British unit of rival Mafrig Global Foods. JBS, which has undertaken a massive overseas expansion since 2007, will pay $1.19 billion in cash and will assume Moy Park’s debt totaling £200 million as part of the deal, Marfrig said in a statement.

    BP agrees to a $18.7bn settlement on claims from the 2010 Gulf of Mexico spill

    UK oil and gas giant BP said it has reached an $18.7 billion settlement of damages claims from the US government and five states after the 2010 Gulf of Mexico spill. The US Justice Department said it could be the largest settlement with a single entity in US history and the total value would top $20 billion.

    Mercosur summit will establish 'action plan' to speed discussions with Europe
