  Compassionate charter flight for the Falklands' Chilean community on March 19

  

  Next March 19, a 'compassionate' charter flight with a capacity for 168 passengers, will be flying to Chile from the Falkland Islands, returning Saturday, April 9, 2022. The flight will only stop in both Punta Arenas and Santiago on the outbound and return journeys.

  Falklands updates international connectivity, but community's health remains the priority

  

  The Falkland Islands Government (FIG) said on Wednesday it recognizes that many people are keen to receive an update on restoring the international connecting flights with mainland South America. Media across the world is starting to report on the relaxations of borders, removal of testing requirements, and returning to a relatively normal way of life in many countries.

  Falklands publishes audited annual financial statements; underlines S&P Global A+ credit rating

  

  The Falkland Islands Government (FIG) published its annual financial statements for the financial year ending 30 June 2021. The statements have been reviewed by external auditors, Mazars LLP, who provided an unqualified and independent opinion that the documents present a true and fair view, and are free from material misstatement.

  Falklands 2021 census preliminary figures: 2,887 people counted on Sunday night 10 October

  

  The Falkland Islands Government (FIG) announced on Tuesday its preliminary population figures from the 2021 census. Work to error-check and validate the census data received is ongoing, however, provisional data on high-level results are now available.
