Some 10,000 flames were lit at the Tower of London to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War. Yeoman Warders, also known as Beefeaters, who have all served in the military, and representatives from the armed forces, started the process of lighting the flames at a ceremony on Sunday.
The Antarctic Maritime Government building in King George Island went down in flames at dawn Thursday. Nobody was injured and maritime traffic support went on with help from the INACh and the Air Force.
Venezuelan photographer Ronaldo Schemidt received on Thursday the World Press Photo of the year in Amsterdam, one of the most prestigious in photojournalism, for a photograph shot in May 2017 during the protests in Venezuela while working for Agence France-Presse (AFP) . In the photograph a protester appears in flames, in front of a graffiti in which a weapon appears shooting at the word peace.
