Falklands, Korean jigger refloated and heading with support for Stanley

Following a multi-agency operation extending over several days in the Falkland Islands, the Korean flagged jigger 107 Eun Hae was re-floated just before 09:00 Thursday morning, with no injuries and no apparent pollution.

Korean flagged jigger 107 Eun Hae remains grounded in the Falkland Islands, more precisely at Settlement Cove, Saunders Island. The vessel has a crew of 38 onboard and no injuries have been sustained or reported.

Argos Georgia tragedy: air and sea search for missing mariners has resumed

On Friday 26 July the Falklands Maritime Authority reported that in the afternoon of Thursday 25 July 2024, the two fishing vessels, the Falklands Robin M Lee and the Chilean Puerto Toro who were involved in the search and rescue operation of survivors from the Argos Georgia arrived into Stanley.

Argos Georgia rescue: Falklands Stanley hospital ready to receive survivors

The lastest update from the Falkland Islands Maritime Authority, Tuesday 23 July, 2024 approximately 15:00 hours Falklands time, said that on Monday 22 July 2024, the Maritime Authority received information that the fishing vessel Argos Georgia, with 27 persons onboard, was taking on water and requesting assistance some 200 miles east of Stanley.

Falklands longliner rescue operation: all crew members safe in located life rafts
