    Pope halts homily amid shortness of breath

    The Argentine-born Pope has been suffering from bronchitis over the past few days

    Argentine-born Pope Francis was forced Sunday to interrupt his homily in St. Peter's Square during the Armed Forces Jubilee Sunday due to notorious breathing difficulties. “Now I apologize and ask the master to continue the reading due to difficulty in breathing,” said Jorge Mario Bergoglio before a crowd featuring numerous troops and police officers from various countries.

    Chilean Jesuits' equiry unveils unspeakable acts by Father Renato Poblete

    Poblete acted under the protection granted to him by his portraying “a person of good.” He got away with it all by dying in February 2010.

    The Chilean branch of the Jesuit order Tuesday released the findings of an investigation into Father Renato Poblete's alleged involvement in sexual misconduct. According to this enquiry, Poblete carried out improper acts “repeatedly, seriously and systematically.”

    The new saints were officially recognised by Pope Francis Sunday during a ceremony attended by some 70,000 people in St. Peter’s Square.

    A former pontiff, a Spanish-born nun who is said to have performed her first miracle in Argentina and a slain Salvadorean Bishop were among the seven new saints canonised Sunday by Pope Francis at the Vatican.

    On Saturday June 1st the President of Uruguay, José Mujica, will meet Pope Francis. Mujica has been quoted as saying he does not believe in the Catholic Church but he “admires” it and that he hopes to open avenues of cooperation to advance on social issues in his country.
