  Falklands’ Premier and Noble have contracted a rig, according to Norwegian energy website

  

  Ocean Rig has reportedly received a contract for its Eirik Raude semi-submersible rig for a drilling campaign in the Falkland Islands. According to Offshore.no, a Norwegian energy news website, the rig will be used by Noble Energy and Premier oil for their respective drilling campaigns in the Falkland Islands waters in 2015

  Falklands drilling will resume in second quarter of 2015, announced Premier Oil

  

  Exploration drilling in the waters off the Falkland Islands will resume in the second quarter of next year, according to Premier Oil. Negotiations are currently underway with rig contractors and joint venture partners, the company said in its interim management statement which was approved as the annual general meeting.

  Falklands Sea Lion in 'the mid to longer term projects' of Premier Oil

  

  UK independent Premier Oil reported Thursday that its production rate peaked at 75,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day during December, when the average rate was 69,000 boepd. Premier said that average production for 2013 as a whole was 58,200 boepd, compared to an average rate of 57,700 boepd for 2012.
