  HMS Argyll sails across the Panama Canal on the last leg of her deployment

  

  South Atlantic patrol HMS Argyll is coming to the end of her seven month deployment and next month is expected back in Davenport. Last week the Type 23 frigate crossed the 80 kilometre Panama Caal sailing two seas in one day, after finishing an intense period of counter-narcotics operation in the Eastern Pacific.

  South Atlantic patrol HMS Argyll saves the life of a Japanese fisherman in high seas

  

  Sailors onboard the South Atlantic patrol Royal Navy HMS Argyll saved the life of a Japanese fisherman who had suffered a serious head injury off the coast of Africa. Approximately 20 miles off the Cape Verde coast she received news that a fisherman onboard the trawler Wakashio Maru No 82 had been seriously hurt in an accident 24 hours earlier.

  South Atlantic patrol HMS Argyll has stopped at Lisbon to be briefed on the illegal drugs trade off West Africa in preparation for her Atlantic deployment, according to a Royal Navy release.

  The city on the Mersey gathered for a final farewell to HMS Liverpool

  

  Crowds gathered on the Wirral and in the heart of Liverpool to bid a fond and final farewell to Type 42 destroyer HMS Liverpool. She sailed into the Mersey last week for a six-day visit, berthing alongside at the Cruise Liner Terminal.
