    Dead whale found north of Buenos Aires City

    Although unusual, it was not the first time a dead whale turned up dead in Vicente López

    A dead whale was found a few meters from the shore in Vicente López, on the northern outskirts of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. A fisherman spotted the animal, believed to be a young calf, near kilometer 18 of the coastal channel in La Lucila and reported it to the Coast Guard (PNA), which, together with Civil Defense and local Police, established a security perimeter around it. The whale had its fins facing upward.

    Forecasters are warning of more rain expected in central Texas

    Devastating flash floods in central Texas, particularly in Kerr County, have resulted in at least 81 deaths and more than 41 people still missing as of Sunday. The Guadalupe River surged dramatically, rising to the height of a two-story building in a short period, catching many off guard. Travis County, which includes the State's capital, Austin, has confirmed at least six deaths.

    The Ecuadorean Government Friday declared a 45-day regional state of emergency in the Amazonian provinces of Zamora Chinchipe and Napo due to severe rainfall, flooding, and landslides. These conditions have significantly impacted residents, homes, basic services, and critical infrastructure, including the road network and the nation's two main oil pipelines, the Heavy Crude Oil Pipeline (OCP) and the Trans-Ecuadorian Pipeline System (SOTE).
