    Xi Jinping has become the longest-serving president of the People's Republic of China since its founding in 1945 after being elected once again for a third five-year term. He was also chosen chairman of the Central Military Commission by a National People's Congress (NPC) plenum.

    Uruguay-China’s FTA is “improving” at a slower pace, President Lacalle says

    “Perhaps the speed that one would like is not the one we have today. The processes of those giant countries are not like ours,” Lacalle stated.

    The President of Uruguay, Luis Lacalle Pou, referred to the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with China. In an interview with the Argentine radio program “Alguien tiene que decirlo” (Radio Mitre), Lacalle stated that negotiations with Chinese authorities are “progressing”.
