  The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) Wednesday shot down a plane that clandestinely entered from Venezuela carrying drugs. The measure was within legal protocols, it was explained. The aircraft was intercepted and instructed to land but failed to comply.

  Brazilian Air Force ready for new evacuations from Middle East

  

  Brazil's Air Force (FAB) said Sunday that it was ready to rescue nationals of the South American country living in the Middle East and whose lives or security would be in danger following this weekend's events, Agencia Brasil reported. Since the terrorist group Hamas' Oct. 7 attack against Israel, 13 rescue flights have been carried out in the region, in addition to other operations in other conflict-torn areas such as Haiti.

  Brazil again delays fighter jet contract; France rapidly losing ground in the bid

  

  France will lose out in its bid to win a multi-billion-dollar fighter jet contract with Brazil, the Folha de Sao Paulo daily reported over the week-end. It said France’s 4 billion dollars proposal for 36 Rafale fighter jets, from a consortium led by French giant Dassault, will be shot down for cost reason.
