  The defense of the Falkland Islands with the Quick Reaction Alert Typhoons

  

  During the Easter holiday period, the RAF detachment in the Falkland Islands continued to deliver air operations in the South Atlantic. One element of the air operations is a Quick Reaction Alert response carried out by the Typhoons of 1435 Flight.

  Falkland Islands: Refurbishing starts on Mount Pleasant runway

  

  A contractor has started working on a £7m project to extend the lifespan of the runway at the Mount Pleasant Complex (MPC) airfield in the Falkland Islands until it can be fully re-laid in the coming years, the British Government reported Monday.

  Tierra del Fuego team planning Falklands trip to assess the economic impact of UK 'usurpation' of the Islands

  

  The economic impact of the “illegal” occupation of the Falklands Islands by the British, is to be analyzed by the Economic Development and Innovation Institute from the Argentine University of Tierra del Fuego, in coordination with other tertiary education centers both public and private.

  Brigadier Dan Duff, next head of Falklands based BFSAI

  

  The new Commander of the British Forces South Atlantic Islands (CBFSAI), Brigadier Dan Duff, is to be arriving in the Falklands in Spring 2023, replacing the current CBF, Commodore Jonathan Lett, who has been the CBF since November 2020.
