Argentina's July inflation for the private financial consultants climbed 1.92% and in the last twelve months reached 27.15%, according to the report released in Congress by opposition lawmakers. The so called 'congress index' is an average of the different private consultants which is released monthly by lawmakers to avoid fines and reprisals from government.
Argentina's 'official' inflation during June was 1% over the previous month according to the National Statistics and Census Institute, Indec, while prices during the current calendar year prices have reached 6.7% and 15% over the last twelve months.
Inflation in Argentina clocked 1.53% in June accumulating 27.9% in the last twelve months according to the report released on Tuesday by members of the Congressional opposition based on an average from private consultants. This week Argentina's government stats office, Indec in scheduled to announce the official rate.
The International Monetary Fund has expressed conformity with the achievements made by the Argentine government regarding the updating of the country's statistics, and hoped to finish its evaluation in February, Director Christine Lagarde announced during a press conference in Santiago de Chile.
Argentina's inflation during September reached 1.4% and accumulates 19.8% in the nine months according to the latest release from the government stats office Indec. However earlier in the week the Freedom of Expression committee from the Lower House which regularly announces the average of private analysts, (identified as the congressional index), said the consumer price index for the ninth month of the year was 2.48% and 41.6% in the last twelve months.
Argentina has two consumer prices indexes, and they differ considerably. In effect during August the so called congressional index doubled the official rate: the National Urban Consumer Price (IPCNU) released by the stats office Indec, in the eighth month of the year was 1,3%, which means inflation in the first eight months stands at 18,2%.
Inflation in Argentina during the month of May reached 2.28% and 39.9% in the last twelve months according to the so called 'Congressional index' which is released by opposition lawmakers from the Freedom of Expression committee.
The International Monetary Fund board has already received a first analytical report on Argentina latest statistics and will address the issue in its next meeting scheduled for 6 June, according to IMF spokesperson Gerry Rice in Washington.
Argentina's inflation congressional index marked 2.8% in April, or 15.78% in the first four months of the year and 39% in the last twelve. These percentages contrast with the official data from the Indec stats office which earlier this week said the April CPI was 1.8%.
Inflation in Argentina according to the so called Congressional index during the month of October reached 2% and 25.86% in the last twelve months, it was reported by opposition lawmakers.
