    Argentina's Patagonia’s National University of San Juan Bosco (UNPSJB), based in Chubut province, officially introduced on Tuesday an academic scholarship program geared toward Falklands/Malvinas residents, and during a panel presided by Malvinas Affairs Secretary Daniel Filmus, Argentina's Under-Secretary of University Policies Laura Alonso and the university’s chief Alberto Ayape.

    “Why some countries are punished if they don't accept UN resolutions, while others that are founding members” can look aside and not comply asked Filmus

    Argentine diplomats questioned in Montevideo why the United Kingdom is not punished for its denial to comply with the UN General Assembly Resolution from 1965 which calls on Argentina and the UK to sit and dialogue on the Falklands/Malvinas dispute. They also denied any attempts from Argentina to suffocate the Falklands economy or hydrocarbons industry.

    Falklands/Malvinas special session at Aladi's offices in Montevideo

    Aladi founded in 1980, includes Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela and Uruguay.

    The Latin American Integration Association, Aladi, with main offices in Montevideo, will be holding on Thursday an extraordinary meeting on the Falklands/Malvinas Islands question in the framework of the recent Day of Affirmation of Argentine rights over the South Atlantic Islands (June 10), and the fiftieth anniversary of UN Assembly Resolution 2065, which called on Argentina and UK to dialogue and find a solution to the dispute.

    A group of lawmakers from six Latin American countries and Argentine officials met in Ushuaia in support of Argentine 'legitimate sovereignty rights over Malvinas, Georgia and South Sandwich Islands', in the framework of UN General Assembly Resolution 2065 fiftieth anniversary celebration, which called on the United Kingdom and Argentina to reach a peaceful negotiated solution over the Falklands/Malvinas dispute through bilateral discussions.

    OAS declaration in support of Malvinas UK/Argentina talks; Canada disagreed
