  Exxon-Mobil begins long term development of oil and gas in Argentina's Vaca Muerta shale deposits

  

  ExxonMobil said on Tuesday it will proceed with a long-term oil and natural gas development project on a block in Argentina, targeting the Vaca Muerta shale play. The US-based company plans to drill 90 wells to take production to 55,000 b/d of oil equivalent in five years from the Bajo del Choique-La Invernada block in the Neuquen Basin in the country's southwest, the company said in a statement.

  Qatar Petroleum (QP) has won exploration rights in five offshore blocks in the North Argentina, and Malvinas West basins in Argentina.   ExxonMobil resumes exploratory drilling off Guyana; first FPSO expected at the end of the year

  

  US energy company ExxonMobil has started drilling one of two new exploration wells offshore Guyana. It’s the first of two wells to be drilled this month. The world’s largest publicly traded international oil and gas company said in a statement that the Stena Carron drillship is drilling the Haimara-1 well, located 19 miles east of the Pluma-1 discovery in the southeast Stabroek Block.

  ExxonMobil made its eighth oil discovery offshore Guyana at the Longtail-1 well in the Stabroek Block on June 20. The company encountered 256 feet of oil-bearing sandstone. The well was drilled to 18,057 feet depth in 6,365 feet of water.

  Exxon-Mobil hits oil jackpot offshore Guyana: future production of 500.000 bpd

  

  United States-based oil giant ExxonMobil says the latest oil discovery in Guyana will help bring production to more than 500,000 barrels per day. In a statement, the oil company said that it was satisfied with the discovery in the Pacora Well that was safely drilled to a depth of 18,363 feet in 6,781 feet of water. It said drilling began on January 29 this year.
