  Malvinas/Gibraltar hand-to-hand with Argentina: “a ridiculous adventure” opposition tells Rajoy

  

  The leader of Spain’s opposition Socialist Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba called on the government of president Mariano Rajoy “to avoid adventures that could end looking ridiculous” such as the possibility of a ‘hand to hand’ with Argentina on the Malvinas and Gibraltar cases and instead should look at all the money laundering that takes place in the British Overseas Territory.

  Cristina Fernandez will chair Security Council debate on UN relations with regional organizations

  

  Argentine president Cristina Fernandez will be chairing next Tuesday a meeting of the United Nations Security Council that will be addressing the relations of Latam and Caribbean regional and subregional organizations with UN in helping prevent conflicts and restore peace, was announced by the Argentine ambassador Maria Cristina Perceval.

  Malvinas: Uruguay politicians honoured for having volunteered to fight next to Argentina in 1982

  

  Two Uruguayan politicians, one from the ruling coalition and the other from the main opposition National party will be honoured with a medal by Argentina for their unlimited support to the Malvinas cause, announced the Argentine ambassador in Montevideo, Dante Dovena.

  Falklands: Ambassador Castro renews sovereignty claims and blasts the US for spying

  Falklands’ people happy exercising self-determination and with ‘current relationship with UK’

  

  Falkland Islands representatives told the Special Decolonization Committee that under UN resolutions non self governing territories are entitled to exercise self determination and self government and C24 does not have the responsibility to judge on that right. Likewise the Falklands’ representatives again invited C24 to visit the Islands (seventh time) but with no reply.
