  Falkland Islands Liberation Day Anniversary from Argentine Occupation, on 14 June

  

  The Falkland Islands Legislative Assembly has released an official communique to mark the anniversary of the Liberation of the Falkland Islands from Argentine occupation in 1982. The following program has been arranged for Saturday 14 June 2025.

  The Royal Falkland Island Police would like to inform the public that on Thursday 13 June 2024 between 2:00pm – 3:00pm Ross Road will be closed from Barrack Street up to Reservoir Road junction. There will be no access via Cable Street.

  Forty one years since the Falklands Task Force Parade in the heart of London

  

  The Falklands Task Force Parade took place on 12th October 1982, in London, and a few months since the Liberation of the Islands from the Argentine invasion and occupation. The salute to the Task Force encompassed a military parade, with military bands and contingents through the City of London.

  Falklands announces program to mark liberation anniversary from Argentine occupation

  

  The Falkland Islands will be marking the anniversary of the liberation of the Islands from Argentine occupation with a vast program scheduled for Sunday 14, June, 2015, in the capital Stanley.<
  The program includes a religious service, a ceremony at Liberation Monument and later a reception hosted by Falkland Islands governor Colin Roberts. MLA Ian Hansen will be presented with the South Atlantic Medal on behalf of all Islanders.
