  Argentina could be on the path to start exporting LNG from its Vaca Muerta shale gas deposits, after Golar LNG signed a 20'year deal with Pan American Energy (PAE) for the deployment of a Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) vessel in Argentina according to a report from US Energy Information Administration.

  Argentina’s energy imports soar 47% during April propped by gas purchases

  

  Argentina’s energy imports during April soared 47.6% over a year ago reported the government mainly because of massive natural gas purchases for the coming winter. The bill in April climbed to 733 million dollars from 384 million a year ago, while Enarsa the government corporation that has the monopoly of LNG imports spent 438 million this year and 259 million in April 2012.

  Argentina natural gas imports in March soar 74% compared to a year ago

  

  Argentina's natural gas imports rose 74% to 28.4 million cubic meters/d in March, compared with 16.3 million cu m/d in the year-earlier period, the country’s Energy Secretariat said Monday. Imports were up 16% compared with 24.5 million cu m/d in February, according to a monthly data report.

  Uruguay/Argentine LNG floating terminal project attracts 39 industry leaders

  

  Uruguay and Argentina have received interest from 39 companies to build infrastructure for a floating LNG terminal, a project they are fast-tracking to start operations by the end of 2013, a project adviser said Tuesday.
