  The Falkland Islands Government has announced that the parade to celebrate the birthday of Her Majesty the Queen will be held at Victory Green in Stanley on Friday 21st April 2017. The parade will form up at Victory Green at 10.20 hours and His Excellency the Governor will arrive at 10.30 hours.

  Falklands' Museum and National Trust to receive decommissioned Sea King

  

  In recognition of the time the Sea King helicopter has spent supporting both the military and the civilian population of the Falkland Islands, the UK Ministry of Defense has donated the decommissioned Sea King Search and Rescue Helicopter to the Falkland Islands Museum & National Trust.

  Falklands will celebrate Queen's birthday parade April 21st

  

  On Tuesday 21 April the Falkland Islands will be holding a parade to celebrate the birthday of Queen Elizabeth. Contingents from the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force and the Falklands' Defense Force will form at Stanley's Victory Green, reports Gilbert House, seat of the Falklands' elected Legislative Assembly.

  Chilean community in Falklands march in support of the air link with Santiago

  

  One hundred members of the Chilean population living in the Falkland Islands were joined by 50 to 60 Islanders in a show of unity against the possibility that the weekly Lan Chile flight between Santiago and the Falklands might be discontinued at the request of Argentine President Cristina Fernandez.
