Italian “No” wave hits Euro in Japanese markets

The euro tumbled on Monday in Tokyo following the results in a referendum held in Italy on Sunday to decide whether Prime Minister's Matteo Renzi's plan to reform the Constitution should be carried out. “La Sanmaritiniana” reaches Puerto Deseado and is greeted by militant from a radical group

The Argentine registered vessel “La Sanmartiniana” is reported to have reached Puerto Deseado, Santa Cruz province on Sunday, following a full week's sailing from Stanley, where it had left on Sunday 27 November. Militants and local authorities lined up at the port to celebrate her arrival.

Falkland Islands elected government has announced the following program for Thursday 8th December 2016 to commemorate the victory of the Naval engagements of 8th December 1914, on which day 6 British sailors lost their lives and a number of others died later from injuries received during the battle. 2,260 German sailors also lost their lives.

Hudson volcano yellow alert in Patagonia: memories of the 1991 eruption

The Patagonia territories of Chile and Argentina, Aysen region and Santa Cruz province are under yellow alert since Saturday evening given the growing seismic activity of the Hudson volcano. Two Chinese large-scale jiggers heading for the SW Atlantic, announces Pingtan

China's Pingtan Marine has announced the launch of two new squid jiggers, bound for the southwest Atlantic and southeast Pacific oceans. The two newly-completed vessels should reach fishing grounds by late December, and sales of squid catches are then expected to begin in the first quarter of 2017.
