Brexit debate in the streets of London: tens of thousands march for, and against leaving the EU
Tens of thousands of people have marched on Saturday in central London to demand a final vote on any UK exit deal, on the second anniversary of the Brexit vote. Organizers of the People's Vote march say Brexit is “not a done deal” and people must “make their voices heard”. Meanwhile, hundreds attended a pro-Brexit counter-protest. It came as senior Cabinet ministers, including Liam Fox and David Davis, insisted the UK is prepared to walk away from talks without an agreement.

Another judicial setback for Lula: Supreme Court cancels appeal ruling on his release from jail

EU imposes retaliatory tariffs on US goods: bourbon, motorcycles, orange juice
The European Union (EU) has introduced retaliatory tariffs on US goods as a top official launched a fresh attack on President Donald Trump's trade policy. The duties on €2.8bn worth of US goods came into force on Friday. Tariffs have been imposed on products such as bourbon whiskey, motorcycles and orange juice.

UK government reacts to Brexit threats from business: “completely inappropriate” at negotiations critical moment
Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt has said that “threats” by business over Brexit are “completely inappropriate”. He was responding to warnings by Airbus and BMW that investments in the UK could be jeopardized by Brexit uncertainty.

Over half of Brazilian electorate rejects all presidential candidates, opinion poll shows
An XP Investimentos survey in partnership with the Institute of Social, Political and Economic Research (Ipespe) shows the Brazilian pre-candidates Lula da Silva and Jair Bolsonaro, tied for first place with 13% of voting intentions each, followed by Ciro Gomes and Geraldo Alckmin, with 2% each.
