Brazil: Supreme Court upholds ruling allowing Lula to run for president in 2022
Former Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva's convictions were annulled Thursday by the country's Supreme Court (STF) in an 8-3 ruling which clears the Workers Party (PT) iconic figure to seek a new term in 2022.

Third-place finisher in Peru's elections wants vote count review but shall not endorse Castillo at runoff
Rafael López Aliaga of Popular Renovation (Renovación Popular – a right-wing party founded in 2020), who finished third in Sunday's first round of Peru´s presidential election with 11.69% of valid votes, behind Pedro Castillo (19.12%) and Keiko Fujimori (13.37% ) has requested Thursday the revision of all the voting records but warned he will not support “Communist” Castillo at the June 6 runoff.

Cost of living in Argentina rises 4.8% in March alone
Argentina's Consumer Price Index (CPI-Cost of living) rose 4.8% during March, 1.2 percentage points above February's 3.6%, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) announced Thursday.
