  Chile will apply antiterrorism law to Monday's bombing of metro station

  

  Monday's bombing at a Santiago metro station that left at least ten people wounded was a terrorist attack, the Chilean government said. This is the last and most serious of a string of bombs that have been found across Santiago most planted at night.

  Magallanes received 630.000 tourists in 2013, expects a 5% increase this year

  

  Magallanes Region economy (in the extreme south of Chile) received an injection of 220 million dollars from the 630.000 tourists that arrived by air, sea or land to the area during 2013, according to the latest release form the regional Tourism Office (Sernatur).

  Bachelet announces stimuli program for the foundering Chilean economy

  

  President Michelle Bachelet presented on Monday a 500 million dollars emergency plan to try and rejuvenate Chile's slowing economy via investment promotion. She added that half of the anticipated funding will come from adjustments to the budget while the rest will come from greater structural income from a tax reform that Congress is expected to approve soon

  Chile's oil corporation plans to pad drill 55 wells for gas in Tierra del Fuego

  

  Chile's petroleum corporation, ENAP, is planning to drill 55 non conventional new wells in Tierra del Fuego beginning September until the end of 2015, with the purpose of increasing the current production from 450.000 cubic meters per day to a million cubic meters of 'tight' gas.
