  Brazilian meats' scandal: China, Egypt, Chile limit imports ban to the 21 processing plants involved

  

  Brazil won a major victory as it battles to restore credibility amid a tainted meat scandal, with China, Egypt and Chile lifting their bans on its products. The three countries, which had totally closed their markets to Brazilian meat at the start of last week, said they would open them to all but the 21 Brazilian processing plants under investigation.

  UK ambassador in Argentina Mark Kent reiterated Falkland Islands sovereignty was not in the bilateral agenda, although the two countries can cooperate in other areas of mutual interest, letting the Islanders to develop and establish links with other South American countries.

  Falklands/Honduras to share experiences in marine coastal resources management

  

  Honduras and UK South Atlantic British Overseas Territories, mainly Falkland Islands are to share scientific experiences and develop potential projects that could enhance the Central American country's management of its marine coastal resources. With this purpose the Director of the South Atlantic Environmental Research Institute (SAERI), Dr Paul Brickle, visited Roatán and Tegucigalpa last week.

  FIH considers acquisition approach from an Argentine fund as “unwelcome”

  

  The much publicized and controversial bid from an Argentine group to acquire a leading position in the Falkland Islands Holdings, which owns the Falkland Islands Company, closely linked to the Islands' history and economy, has been considered “a real hazard” by FIH directors.

  Another RAF Falklands/Sao Paulo flight “surprises” Argentine and Brazilian diplomacy

  

  An RAF transport aircraft last week allegedly made a two-day return trip to Sao Paulo from MPA in the Falkland Islands, according to a report from columnist Martin Dinatale, based on sources from the Argentine Defense ministry. The aircraft was an Airbus 330 which left MPA on Sunday 12 March at 22:44, and landed in Sao Paulo at 2:47 early Monday March 13. On 14 March at 23:47 the Airbus returned to the Falklands.

  Malvinas Families repudiate Peace Nobel Perez Esquivel on his return from Falklands

  

  Argentine Veterans and relatives of fallen in Malvinas had a surprise for Nobel Peace Prize Adolfo Perez Esquivel and his party of fourteen, including a founder of Mothers of Plaza de Mayo, when they landed in Buenos Aires airport after spending a week in the Falkland Islands where they travelled with a “peace, dialogue and sovereignty” message to the Islanders.

  Argentina authorizes a low cost airline to fly Falklands/Comodoro Rivadavia

  

  The Argentine Ministry of Transport awarded American Jet authorization for an air link between Comodoro Rivadavia, in Patagonia and the Falkland Islands, according to Resolution 136-E/2017 published in the Official Gazette and signed by minister Guillermo Dietrich.
