Chilean government condemns vandalism by fans at Malvinas Memorial in Rosario

The Chilean ambassador in Buenos Aires met with Malvinas war veterans and the head of the National Monument to the Flag in the city of Rosario, and delivered an official letter condemning the violent actions and destruction by fans from the University of Chile football team against a Memorial to the Malvinas fallen.

The Falkland Islands has joined the rest of the word and set out a health advice and warning on the worldwide increase in the ZIKA virus. The message is from the Director of Health and Acting Chief Medical Officer and outlines precautions to be taken against the virus which for the most part carried via mosquitoes.

Falklands with a medium term financial surplus of £4.325 million

For the first six months of the 2015/16 financial year, the Falkland Islands Government is showing a Medium Term Financial Plan surplus of £4.355 million compared to a revised budget surplus of £30,000; a favorable performance of £4.325 million.(*)
