    Schackleton Fund plans to expand

    A progress report by the Shackleton Scholarship Fund on its first six years says that it has awarded some 50 scholarships, with grants totalling over £60,000, from income from its core fund of more than £400,000.

    Falkland's team update in the Commonwealth Games

    Falklands marksman Graham Didlick achieved a personal best of 530 in the Men's 25m Centre Fire Pistol - Singles at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. This bettered his previous best of 509 by 21 points. Graham finished in 23rd position, just 3 points behind Ian Harris of Wales.

    Third Falklands Shooting record for G. Goodwin

    A final score of 390 in the Open Full Bore Rifle Individual event, saw 22 year old Falklands shooter Gareth Goodwin finish in 24th position, 14 points behind the gold medallist, David Calvert of N. Ireland. Gareth's score broke the previous Falklands record, set by Ken Aldridge in Victoria 8 years ago, by a massive 16 points. His 24th position placing was also the highest ever for a Falklands competitor in this competition.
