
United Kingdom manufacturers have warned of a recruitment crunch if they are unable to keep hiring EU workers after Brexit. The manufacturers body, EEF, says the government must clarify the rights of EU workers as a matter of urgency underlining that a quarter of 243 firms it surveyed had already seen an increase in EU nationals leaving their business.

Government-focused services provider, Leidos Australia, has won an export deal with the Falkland Islands Government for the provision of technology solutions based on its TeraText suite of products. The first seagoing Captain of the Royal Navy’s second new aircraft carrier, HMS Prince of Wales, will be Captain Stephen Moorhouse. The announcement was made at an event at the Institute of Directors in London just two days before the warship is officially named in Rosyth.

Shipbuilding unions have accused the UK Minister of Defense of reneging on a promise to build five new navy frigates on the Clyde. It came as Defense Secretary Sir Michael Fallon announced that five Type 31e frigates could be built and assembled across several UK shipyards.
