  Falklands' legislation database to be provided by Australian Tech Company

  

  Government-focused services provider, Leidos Australia, has won an export deal with the Falkland Islands Government for the provision of technology solutions based on its TeraText suite of products. Under the new deal, all the laws of the Falklands will, for the first time, be made available to the public, using the Australian-built technology.

  Chile and Argentina working on an energy, gas and power, swap deal

  

  Chile expects to close an energy swap deal with Argentina in the days ahead, Chilean Energy Minister Andres Rebolledo said in an interview Thursday. The neighboring nations are also negotiating the locations for five additional transmission line interconnection points, with an agreement expected as early as January, the minister revealed.

  UK and German commerce chambers call on Brexit negotiators to concentrate on “business issues”

  

  Shared economic interests must be a priority in the Brexit negotiations, UK and German trade bodies have urged. The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) and the Association of German Chambers of Commerce (DIHK) said uncertainty over “business critical” issues such as workers' rights, tax and customs arrangements needed to be tackled.

  Norway's Statoil joins YPF to explore for hydrocarbons in Vaca Muerta shale

  

  Norway's Statoil, STO and YPF announced an agreement to explore hydrocarbons in the Vaca Muerta shale. Under the terms of the agreement, Statoil will enter the Bajo del Toro license block with a 50% interest. YPF will retain a 50% share and will remain the operator.

  Premier Oil expects 2017 production in the range of 75.000/80.000 boepd

  

  Premier Oil has lifted its full-year production guidance as well as estimated resources at a huge oilfield it discovered off the coast of Mexico. Premier Oil, the operations of which stretch from Indonesia to the Falkland Islands, now expects 2017 production in the range of 75,000-80,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd), up from the previous forecast of 75,000 boepd, thanks to its strongly performing North Sea fields.

  Falklands: Premier Oil is asking for export funds to develop Sea Lion, reports Financial Times

  

  The Financial Times is reporting that Premier Oil is negotiating with the UK government about securing export finance to fund just over half of the US$1.5bn investment needed to develop a large oilfield in waters north of the Falkland Islands. If all works out as planned first oil in the Falklands would be in 2021.
