  Malvinas' conscripts demanding war veteran certificates, complete eight years of encampment in Plaza de Mayo

  

  Eight Argentine former conscript soldiers have completed eight years running in a tent camp in Plaza Mayo, the heart of Buenos Aires City, demanding they be recognized as Malvinas war veterans since they argue, they were involved in defense and logistics duties along the Patagonia coast during the 1982 conflict with the United Kingdom.

  Russian sloops with Falklands/Malvinas names incorporated to Argentine Navy

  

  Four Russian built sloops with polar capacity were delivered in Buenos Aires this weekend and incorporated to the Argentine Navy, all of them with names related to the Falklands/Malvinas Islands. The vessels were formally received during a ceremony headed by Defense minister Agustín Rossi and the navy chief Admiral Gastón Fernando Erice.

  Malvinas war declassified documents delivered to Argentine veterans

  

  Argentina's Defense minister Austin Rossi handed Malvinas veterans a report on the 1982 South Atlantic conflict compiled from recently declassified military documents. The report handed to Ernesto Alonso, head of the Malvinas former combatants national committee was drafted by the ministry's Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law desks.

  Argentine Air Force virtually grounded following drastic spending cuts

  

  Difficult times for the Argentine Air Force, not only was the Minister of Defense Agustín Rossi caught asleep during the celebration of the service's anniversary, but also as of next Tuesday administrative staff at the headquarters Edificio Condor will be working a shorter shift, from 08:00 in the morning to 13:00 hours with the purpose of savings in power and other supplies as well as rationing catering.
