  Brazilian exports of fresh beef reached 124,440 tons in March, a drop of 26.4% year-on-year, amid the self-imposed suspension of protein shipments to China that was only lifted at the end of last month, according to data from the federal government this month.

  China reopened its market for beef exports from Brazil las week, Thursday (3/23). The information was passed on to the Minister of Agriculture, Carlos Fávaro, and to the Brazilian delegation in Beijing by the country’s General Administration of Customs (GACC).

  Lula postpones visit to China because of pneumonia, but huge Brazilian delegation in business negotiations

  

  Brazil informed Beijing that president Lula da Silva'a official visit to China had to be postponed because the Brazilian leader had contracted influenza and pneumonia.   Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva postponed his departure for China after being diagnosed with a mild case of pneumonia, Agencia Brasil reported.
