Ten Malvinas war veterans from Rio Gallegos are scheduled to visit the Falkland Islands next October 8, according to a report from “Tiempo Digital Sur” a digital newspaper from the capital of the Patagonian province of Santa Cruz.
Argentine Veterans of the 1982 conflict want the bodies of the 123 “unknowns” at Darwin cemetery to be identified.
A Centre of Malvinas War Veterans and next of kin presented a petition before a federal court requesting the identification of Argentine combatants buried at the Darwin Cemetery in the Falkland Islands and the circumstances of their death during the South Atlantic conflict in 1982.
Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner will head the main commemoration of Malvinas Veteran and Malvinas Fallen Day next Saturday in Rio Gallegos, Patagonia which will be attended by former combatants and next of kin from those who lost their loved ones during the 1982 South Atlantic conflict.
