Falklands, First Sitting of the new Legislative Assembly

The Falkland Islands newly elected Legislative Assembly held its first sitting Monday 15th December following the General Election on the 11th of December. At the sitting, all Members swore the Oath of Allegiance and the Oath of Due Execution of Office, marking the commencement of the 2025-2029 Assembly’s term.

Falklands' Camp voters demand more engagement and presence from members of Legislative Assembly

Prior to this Nominations announcement, for the September 21 by election, the Penguin News did with a few interviews, a sample picture of Falkland Islands rural voters demands and concerns, among which, Stanley support for Camp, drought, improved communications and more engagement from representatives at the Legislative Assembly.
