  UK Labour’s shadow foreign secretary, Emily Thornberry has accused Michael Fallon of talking “bollocks” after the defense secretary claimed she wanted to negotiate with Argentina over the future of the Falklands. In a spiky exchange on the BBC’s The Andrew Marr Show on Sunday, Thornberry hit back at Fallon, saying: “That is bollocks. It’s untrue,” and adding: “You can’t just make this stuff up.”

  Britain said on Sunday Russia bore responsibility by proxy for civilian deaths in Syria last week caused by a poison gas attack that Washington says was carried out by the Moscow-backed government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. At least 70 people died in what the United States says was a chemical weapons attack in rebel-held Syria.

  UK wins F-35s global repair and maintenance hub in North Wales

  

  The British Ministry of Defense (MOD) has announced that the UK has been chosen by the F-35 Program Office to be a global repair hub providing maintenance, repair, overhaul and upgrade services for F-35 avionic and aircraft components. Over the lifetime of the program, hundreds of European-based F-35 aircraft will be serviced and maintained in North Wales.
