  Argentine research vessel Eduardo L. Holmberg sets sail on mackerel mission

  

  After its repair at the Tandanor Shipyard and a series of adjustments in Mar del Plata, the Eduardo L. Holmberg fishing research boat of Argentina's National Institute of Fisheries Research and Development (INIDEP) Monday set sail on a mission to evaluate mackerel (Scomber colias), it was reported.

  Icebreaker Irizar calls at Ushuaia on her 2017/18 Antarctica campaign

  

  Argentina's flagship of Antarctica operations is back after ten long years. The refurbished icebreaker ARA Almirante Irizar, called at Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, on New Year before leaving for the 2017/18 summer campaign.

  Icebreaker Almirante Irizar expected in Puerto Belgrano for high seas trials

  

  The emblematic Argentine navy icebreaker Almirante Irizar, responsible for the country's Antarctic effort left Buenos Aires on Tuesday for high sea trials. The Atlantic incursion was its first in ten years, since in 2007 the icebreaker suffered a major fire that almost destroyed the vessel, originally built in Finland.

  Icebreaker Almirante Irizar ready to begin sea trials after a decade in repairs

  

  Argentine foreign and defense ministers Susana Malcorra and Julio Martínez toured on Friday the recently repaired and refurbished Navy's icebreaker and Antarctica flagship, Almirante Irizar which a decade ago almost became a wreck after she caught fire on return from the annual Antarctic mission.
