
French luxury shipping line Ponant announced a world first with a hybrid electric-LNG powered icebreaker. The luxury vessel promises to deliver around 300 passengers to places never before visited by cruise passengers in ultra-luxury – and with the least damage to the environment.

The Falkland Islands Government (FIG) confirmed on Thursday that Concordia Bay ferry operations will resume from midday on Friday 22 December.

The Indian Navy sailboat INSV Tarini left New Zealand on Tuesday for the next leg of its journey towards Falkland Islands, after completing the second leg of its circumnavigation voyage, an official statement said. Tarini, with its all-women team of Indian Naval officers, had arrived in New Zealand on November 29.

Christie’s said the artwork will be going to the museum, but declined to say whether the Louvre Abu Dhabi bought the painting. The Louvre Abu Dhabi said in a tweet Wednesday: “Da Vinci’s Salvator Mundi is coming to #LouvreAbuDhabi.”

The Falkland Islands Government (FIG) has confirmed that the Concordia Bay ferry service will be suspended until at least Wednesday 20 December. The temporary suspension of ferry operations during December had been advanced in an initial public announcement in November by Workboat Services Limited (WSL)
