  Currently in 4th place in their qualifying group they need to finish no lower than 3rd just to ensure a play-off game and few people in Holland has any confidence this can be achieved.

  Falklands stall at the Prado rural show “a great surprise and greater success”

  

  The UK GREAT pavilion at Uruguay's main agri-business exhibition in Montevideo received the top prize for its category while a stall from the Falkland Islands, tended to by Islanders, is estimated to have been visited by 10% of the more than half million visitors that attended the week-long Expo-Prado.

  Falklands: “thank you” to the people of Uruguay for being so warm, welcoming and supportive

  

  A business delegation from the Falkland Islands participated in Uruguay's main agri-business show at the Prado grounds with a stall in the British GREAT pavilion. The week attendance was described as 'surprising and successful' and Falklands lawmaker Gavin Short addressed an open letter thanking all those involved in helping with the Islands' presence.

  Chile's 24-hour workers strike grounds all civil flights; thousands of passengers stranded

  

  A 24-hour strike by civil aviation workers in Chile grounded dozens of departing flights and affected thousands of passengers, officials said on Tuesday. The strike began at midnight with nearly 4,000 workers demanding improved labor conditions and came just days before a September 18 national holiday celebrating the country's independence, a time when many people travel.

  Sky Airlines begins operating in Chile as a low-cost carrier

  

  As of next Friday, Chile's Sky Airlines becomes a budget or low cost airline with no food served on board, and at the most a soft drink. This is part of the changes to be implemented during the next 12 months by Holger Paulmann CEO and owner of the airline which was started by his father Jürgen Paulmann.

  American Airlines charters to Cuba from Los Angeles next December

  

  American Airlines which has operated charter flights to Cuba since 1991, said on Tuesday that it plans to begin charter services between Los Angeles and Havana on Dec. 12. But by that time, the U.S. and Cuban governments may be ready to allow scheduled airline flights between the two countries, a practice not allowed for more than a half-century.
