    Argentina: Approval of reform bills triggers markets

    The president Mauricio Macri administration expects the economy to grow around 3% this year following a 2.2% percent contraction in 2016.

    Merval, the main index of the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange, rose 1.51% Thursday, closing at 28,494.01 points - close to exceeding the maximum of the year, by 28,500 points. The Argentine stocks were driven by the approval of the pension and tax reforms passed this week in the House of Representatives.

    Egypt attends Mercosur summit in Brasilia

    CMA-CGM take over Mercosul Line from Maersk Line

    CMA CGM and Maersk Line announced a binding agreement in June, subject to Brazilian regulatory approval and closing of Maersk's Hamburg Süd acquisition.

    The transfer of ownership of Mercosul Line from Maersk Line to CMA CGM. (Maritime Freighting Company-General Maritime Company), was completed on Friday.     Argentina’s president defended a pension reform bill approved by Congress in the early hours of Tuesday that has prompted violent protests and a general strike, saying it seeks only to benefit retirees. The measure passed in the lower house by a 127-117 vote after more than 12 hours of debate, much of which came as demonstrators clashed with police outside the chamber.

    May admits that during the Brexit transition period, UK would still be bound by EU rules
