  Scenic Cruises is planning to create another exclusive, expedition-style ocean vessel that boasts of its own submarine and helicopter. The Australian-owned cruise operator mentioned that the soon-to-be-launched 228-passenger Scenic Eclipse would be getting a sister in 2020 and it would be known as the Scenic Eclipse II. She is schedule to sail Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica.

  What does the Premier Environmental Impact Statement say about the Sealion Oil Field Development to the North of the Falkland Islands

  

  As Mercopress reported, Premier Oil are currently consulting on the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for their Sealion Oil Field development sitting 220km to the North of the Falkland Islands in 450 metres of water depth. The formal minimum 42 day consultation period began earlier in the week and only after the Falkland Islands Government agreed via its Executive Council that it could do so.

  The Falkland Islands Meat Company (FIMCo) has announced the appointment of their new Business Improvement Manager. Michael Ledwith is to start this month on a new full-time contract, tasked with implementing change at the Sand Bay plant, “bringing peak performance through operational efficiency and productivity in the business,” according to information from FIMCo.

  Argentina organizing Falklands charter for relatives of newly identified remains at Darwin cemetery

  

  The Argentine government is organizing a trip to the Falklands with relatives of the 88 combatants buried in Darwin and whose remains were recently identified by a team on international forensic experts, following a humanitarian agreement between UK and Argentina, and Falklands consent, and implemented by the International Red Cross Committee.
