A contractor has started working on a £7m project to extend the lifespan of the runway at the Mount Pleasant Complex (MPC) airfield in the Falkland Islands until it can be fully re-laid in the coming years, the British Government reported Monday.
Ten members of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment Band joined forces with colleagues from the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment Band (PWRR) to deliver musical support on behalf of 3PWRR while their battalion were deployed in the Falklands for Exercise Tiger Island.

The Management Trainee Program which was re-launched in November 2020 as part of a two-year initiative aimed at identifying possible future leaders of government has now been concluded, and following their appointment as Management Trainees, Shannon Alazia and Ariane Brownlee have now successfully completed the program.
