  Falkland Islands elected lawmakers with be delivering speeches on Thursday before the United Nations Decolonization Committee as petitioners requesting C24 de-lists the Islands from the Non Self Governing Territories, upholds the Falkland Islanders right to self determination and frees them from the continuous Argentine bullying and harassment.

  Petrobras scandal ramifications getting closer to Lula da Silva

  

  One of Brazil's leading weekly magazines, Epoca, has revealed that former president Lula da Silva could be investigated over corruption allegations following on the imprisonment of the Odebrecht Group CEO, (Marcelo Odebrecht) which is one of the country's largest private corporations and employers, and for which Lula did much lobbying and sponsoring for public works projects in Dominican Republic, Cuba, Venezuela and Ghana.

  Workers Party is old and out of touch, “an internal revolution is needed”, blasts Lula da Silva

  

  Former President Lula da Silva again blasted Brazil's governing Workers Party, an organization he founded, as old and out of touch. “We have to define whether we want to save our skins and our jobs or if we want to save our project,” Lula da Silva said in Sao Paulo during a seminar on democracy, which he attended along with former Spanish Prime Minister Felipe Gonzalez.

  Falklands delegate attending annual Red Ensign Group conference in Bermuda

  

  The Falkland Islands is represented at the 25th Annual Red Ensign Group, REG, conference which is taking place in the town of St George's, Bermuda. Minister of Tourism Development and Transport Shawn Crockwell, delivered the opening remarks and welcomed the overseas delegates attending the conference that the Bermuda Department of Maritime Administration is hosting.

  Spain to question Gibraltar’s exclusion from EU tax havens blacklist

  

  Spain will call on the European Commission to include Gibraltar on the EU blacklist of tax havens published last week, it emerged over the weekend. The list names the 30 top tax havens as identified by EU countries, but Gibraltar is not on it. Only nine of the EU’s 28 members - among them Spain - view the Rock as a harmful jurisdiction for taxation.
