  The Federal Criminal Court of Appeals Thursday ordered the reopening of the case filed by former AMIA Special Prosecutor Alberto Nisman four days before he was found dead against then Argentine President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner for the alleged cover-up of the Iranian nationals suspected of being behind the AMIA bombing in July, 1994.

  Macri unharmed as protesters throw stones at his vehicle - Seven arrested.

  

  Seven protesters were arrested for throwing stones during a protest at the vehicle in which Argentine President Mauricio Macri was traveling through the southern city of Villa Traful in the province of Neuquen. The stones broke the minivan's glasses but nobody inside was hurt, it was reported.

  Milagro Sala gets 3-year suspended sentence but remains in preventive custody on other charges

  

  Tupac Amaru group leader Milagro Sala was handed Wednesday a 3-year jail sentence by a Federal court in Jujuy for aggravated damage during an “escrache” protest against then national Senator Gerardo Morales in 2009 at the Professional Council of Economic Sciences in the provincial capital San Salvador de Jujuy. Sala also benefitted from a statute of limitations which rendered the threat charges void. Morales is now Governor of Jujuy.

  Argentine congress opens Malvinas Observatory; Malcorra will not be attending

  

  Argentine foreign minister Susana Malcorra will not be going this Wednesday to the Lower House where she was first summoned, and later invited for the formal constitution and opening of the Malvinas Observatory. Lawmaker Elisa Carrió, a close ally of president Mauricio Macri, and chair of the Lower House Foreign Affairs committee originally summoned the minister.

  Argentine Supreme Court Chief Justice's car crash victim dies

  

  Alejandro Buffet, one of the two bikers involved in November 13's crash with the car driven by Supreme Court Chief Justice Ricardo Lorenzetti in Rafaela, in the province of Santa Fe, died Tuesday, it was informed. Buffett had suffered severe head trauma and was on life support at a Rafaela clinic following brain surgery.
