  HMS Protector with ensign at half mast in Buenos Aires to honor ARA San Juan and its crew

  

  The Royal Navy Ice Patrol HMS Protector arrived on Sunday morning to Buenos Aires port with her ensign at half mast in recognition to the discovery of the lost Argentine submarine ARA San Juan and to honor the lives to its 44 crew. ARA San Juan went missing in the extreme South Atlantic of Argentina on 15 November 2017, while sailing from Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego to its base in Mar del Plata.

  Defense Minister says Argentina not equipped to lift ARA San Juan from seabed

  

  Argentine Defense Minister Oscar Aguad said “we don't have the means to resurface the [ARA San Juan] submarine,” which was found between late Friday and early Saturday 800 meters underwater in the Atlantic Ocean after having gone missing a year ago.

  Appearance of ARA San Juan: Royal Navy crew paid their respects

  

  A year after the disappearance of the Argentine Navy’s submarine ARA San Juan, the crew of HMS Clyde, one of the British ships that participated in the search operation, yesterday showed their respects in an act of remembrance from the Falkland Islands. The act was given hours before the Ministry of Defense and the Argentine Navy confirmed that the Norwegian ship Seabed Constructor made the discovery.

  It's official: ARA San Juan has been found 800 meters deep; next challenge: can she be lifted?

  

  The Argentine Navy confirmed early Saturday morning that the missing ARA San Juan submarine which disappeared in the South Atlantic on 15 November a year ago, with a crew of 44, has been found. The discovery was also announced by the Argentine Defense ministry and the United States company, Ocean Infinity, leading the search for the vessel, and it happens exactly one year and one day after all contact was lost with the vessel sailing from Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego to its base in Mar del Plata.

  Argentina's Consumer Price Index, CPI, increased 5.4% in October, and 39.5% in the last ten months, and 45.9% in twelve months, according to the latest report from the country's stats office, Indec. The items with the highest were Housing, 8.8%, followed by Transport, 7.6% while Food and Beverage, 5.9%.
