  Stacy Bragger, Office Manager of the Falkland Islands Chamber of Commerce has been appointed Chair of the Media Trust. Stacy Bragger takes on the role from Janet Robertson who recently completed her four year tenure.

  Red Cross completes Phase 1 of mission to identify Argentine soldiers in Darwin cemetery

  

  Laurent Corbaz of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), said on leaving the Falklands that Phase 1 of the mission to identify Argentine soldiers buried at the Darwin Cemetery had taken place during the week spent in the Islands with his team mate Patrick Sherry.

  Comodoro/Falklands air link awarded by Argentina to Neuquen airline

  

  Argentina's Air Transport Advisory Agency has approved the flights' program of an airline from the Patagonia province of Neuquén which includes an air link between Comodoro Rivadavia and the Falkland/Malvinas Islands, reports this week the local Neuquen media.

  Falklands' totally financed longliner, CFL Hunter, launched in Galicia

  

  A state of the art longliner, the Falklands “CFL Hunter” was baptized and launched at the Nodosa de Marín shipyard in Pontevedra, in a ceremony that included representatives from Consolidated Fisheries, Falklands lawmakers plus members of the Galicia government and the yard.

  Falkland Islanders must be recognized, says UK ambassador in Argentina

  

  UK is interested in strengthening bilateral relations with Argentina, building confidence, dialogue, leaving aside sanctions and conflicts, and when it comes to the Falklands/Malvinas and sovereignty, “we must recognize Islanders, their wishes, their lives”, indicated British ambassador in Buenos Aires Mark Kent in an interview with Martin Dinatale, political and diplomatic analyst from La Nacion.

  Falklands: Red Cross advance team collects information for forensic team

  

  The International Red Cross mission which spent nine days in the Falklands gathering information and finalizing plans for the team that will identify Argentine unknown soldiers buried in the Darwin cemetery sometime in June/July, have left the Islands.

  Falklands' police has established date of damage at the Argentine cemetery

  

  The Royal Falkland Islands Police which is investigating damage perpetrated against a case and a Virgin's statue at the Argentine cemetery in Darwin has been able to establish the vandal actions occurred prior to the beginning of December 2016.
