  Boeing says it has made changes to the control systems linked to fatal crashes

  

  Boeing has issued changes to controversial control systems linked to two fatal crashes of its 737 Max planes in the last five months. But it's still not certain when the planes, that were grounded worldwide this month, will be allowed to fly. Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the accidents.

  Airbus has secured an order from China for 300 jets, in a deal estimated to be worth tens of billions of dollars. An agreement to purchase A320 and A350 XWB aircraft was signed during a visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping to Paris.

  Land Rover beats Chinese auto industry copies in Beijing court

  

  Jaguar Land Rover has won a legal case to prevent a Chinese car brand from selling a copycat vehicle, ending a three-year court battle. In 2016 the UK-based carmaker sued Jiangling Motor Corporation over its Landwind X7 sport utility vehicle, which the company claimed bore an extremely similar resemblance to the Range Rover Evoque.

  Italy joins China's Silk Road project: Europe Union, Nato and G7 rattled

  

  Italy has become the first developed economy to sign up to China's global investment program which has raised concerns among Italy's Western allies. A total of 29 deals amounting to €2.5bn were signed during Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Rome.

  Italy establishing closer links with China, plans to sign Silk Road project

  

  Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Rome at the start of a whistle stop European tour amid growing Western unease over the economic giant's new Silk Road project. Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte is to sign a memorandum of understanding with Mr. Xi on Saturday for Italy to join the US$1 trillion Belt and Road Initiative, the first G7 member to do so.
