  The number of incoming tourists to Argentina is increasing month after month since the drastic devaluation of the local currency, while outgoing tourism has dropped significantly. According to the latest release from the country's stats office, Indec, 224.000 tourists arrived in Argentina during August, 7.4% more than a year ago, while residents travelling overseas dropped 11.9%, to 335.300.

  Argentina will not accept the remains of Nazi war criminal Erich Priebke who died in Italy, officials in Buenos Aires said on Friday. Priebke died in Rome aged 100 after serving nearly 15 years under house arrest for a World War II massacre in Italy for which he never expressed remorse.

  Buenos Aires sends Border guard to contain rioting and looting in Bariloche

  

  The Argentine government is deploying four hundred border guards to the Patagonian resort of Bariloche following violent looting in several local supermarkets and other businesses on Wednesday. Cabinet Chief Juan Manuel Abal Medina made the announcement on national television.

  Mapuche protest in Bariloche demand removal of statue of “the man guilty of the greatest genocide”
