  Rockhopper divests from Egypt to concentrate in the Falklands' Sea Lion project

  

  Oil and gas exploration firm Rockhopper Exploration, with interests in the Falklands and preparing to advance with the Sea Lion project, has agreed to sell its assets in Egypt to United Oil & Gas in a US$ 16m deal. The sale of Rockhopper Egypt includes a non-operated 22% interest in the Abu Sennan concession onshore Egypt and the existing assets of the business.

  Premier Oil finances improving and so are Falklands' Sea Lion project prospects

  

  Britain’s Premier Oil increased its 2019 production guidance on Thursday, saying output had been boosted by efficiency measures and a late sale from its now-divested Pakistan oil fields. The company said it now expects output to reach 75,000 to 80,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed) this year, from up to 75,000 boed previously.

  Falklands' offshore license relinquished by Noble Energy and Edison

  

  Oil companies Noble Energy and Edison have decided to relinquish their stakes in the PL001 offshore license in the Falkland Islands according to Offshore Energy Today. Argos Resources had held a 100% in the PL001 block before the two companies’ farm-in back in 2015. Argos’ shares fell 30% following the announcement.

  Falklands oil industry: final investment decision on Sea Lion project by end of the year

  

  Rockhopper Exploration and operator Premier Oil have submitted a revised draft field development plan for the Sea Lion Phase 1 project to the Falkland Islands government. According to Rockhopper, a final submission should follow in the lead-up to sanction of the project, in the offshore North Falkland basin.

  Falklands' Sea Lion oil project break-even price reduced to US$ 45 a barrel

  

  Falkland Islands oil explorer Rockhopper Exploration Plc has confirmed cost cuts at its Sea Lion project, which will reduce the scheme´s break-even price to US$ 45 a barrel. Capital investment at Sea Lion to reach first oil is now estimated at US$ 1.5bn.

  Falklands' reveals oil at the Isobel/Elaine project and several adjoining fans

  

  Rockhopper Exploration and Falkland Oil and Gas Ltd have confirmed a significant oil discovery at the Isobel/Elaine project to the north of the Falkland Islands. According to a release from the companies the new 14/20-2 well was a ‘re-drill’ of the prior Isobel Deep well which had to be abandoned prematurely due to operational issues despite encountering oil.

  Falklands' Humpback well finds non-commercial quantities of oil and gas

  

  Humpback is the first well to encounter oil in the potentially larger systems in deeper waters off the southeast of the Falkland Islands; however the oil and gas across a number of reservoir targets in the well drilled to a depth of 5.136 meters, were in non-commercial quantities.

  Falklands' oil companies agree to resume drilling at successful Sea Lion prospect

  

  Falkland Oil and Gas PLC on Friday announced it has agreed with Rockhopper Exploration PLC and Premier Oil PLC to drill another well on the Isobel/Elaine complex to replace the planned Jayne East well.
