  Falkland Islands residents of Stanley and surrounding areas are advised that a further outage to TV and Radio services from Sapper Hill and the island wide MW service from Mt William is required.

  Residents of the Falkland Islands capital Stanley and surrounding areas are advised that TV and Radio services from Sapper Hill and the MW service from Mt William (island-wide) will be interrupted on Monday 7 May and possibly again on Tuesday 8 May, commencing at around 8am for the duration of daylight hours only.

  Argentine ambassador and Sukey Cameron at Capt Rick Jolly funeral

  

  Hundreds have attended the funeral of a Royal Navy medical officer who saved hundreds of troops during the Falklands War. Surgeon Capt Rick Jolly, who reputedly saved the life of every British serviceman he treated, died aged 71 on 13 January.

  Falklands holds consultation on Premier Oil environmental impact statement

  

  An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) has been submitted to the Falkland Islands Government by Premier Oil Exploration and Production Limited. The EIS covers the proposed development activity for Phase 1 of the offshore Sea Lion oilfield, located in the North Falklands Basin approximately 120 miles to the north of the Falkland Islands.

  Falklands takes over Premier's Temporary Dock Facility until April

  

  An agreement has been signed by the Falkland Islands Government (FIG) with Premier Oil to secure the use of their Temporary Dock Facility until March 31, 2018. This pilot project is intended to test the market for additional berthing capacity within Stanley Harbor and to facilitate maintenance works on FIPASS.

  Malcorra summoned to Senate to explain Falklands' clauses in the joint statement

  

  Foreign minister Susana Malcorra is scheduled to attend the Argentine Senate next Wednesday morning to expand on the recent Argentina/UK joint statement, particularly the South Atlantic chapter which deals with the Falkland Islands and alleged softening of the Argentine sovereignty claim.

  Le Boreal cruise passengers will be leaving Falklands over the weekend

  

  The Falkland Islands Government confirmed on Friday that travel arrangements are now in place for the crew and passengers who were evacuated from the stranded cruise Le Boreal on Wednesday 18th November, to return home. Two flights have been coordinated, one departing Saturday and the following on Sunday.
