  Cruise 2017/18 season takes off in Punta Arenas with the “Stella Australis”

  

  The Chilean flagged “Stella Australis” opened this week the Punta Arenas 2017/28 cruise season, which is expected to extend until the end of March.   Sale of tickets for the commercial air service to St Helena came live this Friday

  

  The sale of tickets for the scheduled air service to the British Overseas Territory of St Helena went live on Friday. Airlink will operate a weekly service between St Helena and Johannesburg and St Helena and Cape Town, via the stopover at Windhoek International Airport in Namibia. Flights will commence on Saturday, October 14.

  St Helena hopeful of a regular air link to South Africa following a successful proving flight

  

  The St Helena government, a British Overseas Territory in mid Atlantic has said that a commercial aircraft completed a successful proving flight to the island. The Airlink’s Embraer E190-100IGW departed St Helena Airport on Tuesday afternoon following the main flight from Johannesburg and several flight trials before returning to South Africa.

  Southampton “invaded” by ten cruise vessels, with some 55.000 travelers

  

  Southampton welcomed a £25 million boost to its economy over the weekend as ten cruise ships arrived in the city's port. Some 55,000 passengers were embarked and disembarked, splashing their cash in the city's hotels, restaurants and bars.
