    Aerolineas carries 30% more passengers in first semester compared to 2015

    Aerolineas Argentinas' CEO Mario Dell'Acqua Tuesday announced the national flag carrier had transported just over 6.2 million passengers, 30 percent more than the 4.5 million transported in the same period of 2015, the company's best year in that regard. In 2016 the figure was of around 5.5 million.

    Buenos Aires-Mar del Plata train runs again

    United Airlines joins list of companies to leave Venezuela

    The captain of United's last flight pulled a Venezuelan flag out of the cockpit window during pushback at Maiquetia airport as workers bid farewell to yet another company.

    United Airlines' last service to Venezuela flew back to the United States last Friday. United thus joins the seemingly endless list of foreign commercial airlines which have followed on the airtrails of Alitalia and left the country due to a state debt to companies that amounts to 3.8 billion dollars, according to airline industry sources.

    Falkland Islands: Tourists spending more shows survey

    Arrivals figures were almost identical to the previous season, with over 55,000 cruise visitors and just over 1,400 land based leisure tourists.

    Visitor expenditure in the Falklands increased from both land-based tourists and cruise passengers last season. With all the figures from Immigration now in, and the cruise and air surveys analysed, the Tourist Board has a good picture of how last season performed they told Penguin News.

    “The Falklands: 35 Years of Progress” is the second photographic exhibition held by the Falkland Islands Government, and is an exhibition with a difference. The photographs were crowd-sourced by the Falkland Islands Government, which ran a competition to find the very best pictures from the Islands’ many skilled photographers.
